3189 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: Does he stand by his statement of 11 March 2024 on whether he had seen updated costings for allowing landlords to deduct interest costs on their mortgages against rental income “I haven’t”, and if so, has he since seen those costings?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: I have not received advice specific to the cost of changes to interest deductibility, although information on the cost of announced changes was included in relevant Cabinet papers.
