Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What advice, reports, briefings, memos or any other documents, if any, has he or his office received regarding changes to a law passed by the former Government that was designed to reduce the risk of the cost of well clean-ups falling back on the taxpayer?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. Since receiving my Ministerial Warrant on 27 November 2023, in my capacity as the Prime Minister, I have not asked for or received advice from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet on this matter.
