3146 (2024). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister for Disability Issues: How will the changes to Purchasing Rules and the Equipment and Modification Services announced and implemented on 18 March reflect needs assessments that have already taken place prior to the change?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that Needs Assessments, through the local NASC (Needs Assessment Service Co-ordination) organisation, gather information about a person and their disability related needs. This process will not be affected by the changes to the Purchasing Rules. Equipment and Modifications services that were already in progress will be delivered.
