3113 (2026). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for the Environment: Which agencies, and teams within agencies, if any, are currently responsible for progressing work in relation to the Ministerial Inquiry into Land Use in Tairāwhiti-Gisborne and Wairoa?

Hon Penny Simmonds: As noted in the Minute of Decision from the Cabinet Economic Policy Committee (ECO-24-MIN-0225 refers), there has been a transition from an all-of-government governance arrangement to regionally-led initiatives through existing work programmes. However, the Ministry for the Environment has continued to engage with Gisborne District Council on its plan change work through the System Oversight team.
