3096 (2024). Lemauga Lydia Sosene to the Minister of Internal Affairs: What advice did the Minister receive concerning those affected by the Port Hills Fire?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I received regular updates from Fire and Emergency New Zealand in the form of its media statements, as well as phone communications from the Chief Executive. I also received verbal updates on the two occasions I travelled to Christchurch and the Port Hills to review the firefighting operations.
