2995 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Transport: What measures is NZTA taking to factor in the broader social, economic, and safety impacts of replacing remote bridges, such as Pauariki Bridge, beyond just the immediate construction costs?

Hon Chris Bishop: NZTA advises me that its policy considers several factors within the land transport benefits framework. These range from the impact on network productivity to the impact of mode on physical and mental health, to route resilience, operating costs and safety outcomes.
