2992 (2025). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Transport: Will NZTA consider revisiting the economic viability and design evaluations of Burgess Access Bridge on Burgess Road and the Mangatai Access Bridge on Te Kowhai Road in the future if new information or funding opportunities arise?

Hon Chris Bishop: I have been advised that as the asset owner, Gisborne District Council, has undertaken a robust economic assessment of the options available at the two locations mentioned. Should the Council provide additional information which changes the outcome of the economic assessment NZTA will review the new information.
