2960 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: Is KiwiRail planning additional work, if any, because of the partial collapse of the Tawhai Tunnel, and if yes, has it notified the Minister?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No, the tunnel was remediated and reopened on 12 January 2025. Regular maintenance and repairs will happen as required.
