2951 (2026). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister for Biosecurity: What engagement has occurred with electricity generators, councils, or tangata tiaki regarding possible impacts on water quality of Corbicula fluminea?

Hon Andrew Hoggard: I am advised that engagement on the impacts of Corbicula fluminea is undertaken through the Freshwater Partnership Steering Group. This group consists of representatives from iwi, hydroelectric generators, councils, as well as the Ministry for Primary Industries, the Department of Conservation, and Fish & Game New Zealand.
