2947 (2024). Hon Ginny Andersen to the Minister of Police: How many people are employed by Police in the Māori, Pacific and Ethnic Services, as of 12 March 2024?

Hon Mark Mitchell: I am advised that as of 13 March 2024, there are 106 staff in the reporting line of the Deputy Commissioner - Iwi & Community. Casual and Contractor (non-employee) staff are not counted in this number. Please note, Iwi and Community’s role has expanded in recent years and now includes the National Partnership group. For this reason, it is not possible to directly compare numbers with previous iterations of this group.
