2922 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister of Health: What, if anything, is the target staffing numbers for nurses at Middlemore hospital as of 31 January 2025, listed by department, and what, if any, are the current numbers across those departments?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. I am advised that Counties Manukau uses a Care Capacity Demand Management Programme to inform levels of staffing. I am further advised that numbers vary from shift to shift across departments.
