2909 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How much did the Minister’s relevant Ministries, Agencies and Departments spend on contractors and consultants between 27 November 2023 and 10 March 2024, listed by name of contractor or consultant?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that in order to provide the information requested, it would require significant manual collation and I am not prepared to ask this of my officials at this time. As such, in accordance with the Speaker’s Ruling 185-4, I consider that the time, and therefore the expense, of answering the Member’s question is not in the public interest. Oranga Tamariki report information on the use of contractors and consultants as part of the Estimates and Annual Review Select Committee examinations and that information will be included in the upcoming Estimates review post Budget day.
