2900 (2025). Hon Phil Twyford to the Minister of Immigration: What advice or updates, if any, has the Minister received on the average pay of workers in New Zealand on an Accredited Employer Work Visa?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have not received information pertaining to a specific average wage of Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) holders. Up until March this year, AEWV holders have to meet the median wage remuneration threshold of $29.66 an hour, unless they are part of a sector agreement exemption. The rate of pay of AEWV holders must also not be less than the New Zealand market rate for that occupation.
