Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised a stocktake of current rural health workforce training initiatives, both in New Zealand and internationally, was commenced in the last quarter. This includes analysis of success factors, learnings, and recommendations to inform the design of a national training system. Engagement with the health sector tertiary providers, primary and community providers and rural communities on the findings will follow.
