2889 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to sustain investment in the Return to Nursing programme, with a focus on New Zealand trained nurses and internationally qualified nurses already in New Zealand?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, Health New Zealand sustained its investment in the Return to Nursing Support Fund by providing up to a maximum of $5,000. In 2023, the fund received 228 applications.
