2885 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to expand funding for earn-as-you-learn paramedicine pathways, as outlined in Te Whatu Ora's health workforce plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, Health New Zealand entered into an agreement with Hato Hone St John to pilot an earn-as-you-learn pathway for emergency technicians to undertake study towards a BHSc Paramedicine commencing in 2024.
