2884 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to seed fund and invest in new training places and pathways for allied, scientific and technical professionals to work in Comprehensive Primary Care Teams?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that $780,000 was allocated in the October to December 2023 quarter to support pipeline development for physiotherapists, paramedics and practice-based pharmacists. In addition, approximately $5 million has been made available to expand training pathways for 60 additional pharmacy prescribers per year across New Zealand.
