2878 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Mental Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to sustain growth in specialist mental health & addictions workforce training through prior Budget investments?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that between October and December 2023, Health New Zealand sent letters to Regional Training Directors to identify four child and adolescent psychiatry training positions for funding. I am further advised that the international recruitment campaigns mental health and addictions pilot was launched with a campaign landing page.
