Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to roll out a suite of wellbeing-focused programmes to support our staff, including fatigue awareness initiatives and Pacific cultural safety practice support for kaimahi, and to support responding to Major Adverse Events?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, Health New Zealand delivered a wellbeing programme which included critical incident support. Health New Zealand has identified best practice across the country, with a view to nationwide improvement over time. I also refer the Member to Written Parliamentary Question 2875 (2024) regarding fatigue management.
