2860 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to establish new training and / or medical fellowship roles to grow key medical specialties, as outlined in Te Whatu Ora's health workforce plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that between October and December 2023, Health NZ held workshops in Auckland on less than full time training; PGY1 placements; House Officer roles; primary care options for training, and how Health NZ can better support Māori and Pacific trainees.
