2858 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken to expand existing leadership initiatives for Pacific nurses, to support growing a diverse cohort of nurse leaders?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised the contract with Aniva Pacific Workforce and Leadership Development has been renewed, enabling a full Certificate intake; an increased number of Post-Graduate Diploma participants, and continued support for Masters- level students in 2024. I am further advised that a Nurse Practitioner training pathway has been developed, which provides clear direction for Pacific nurses. Four Pacific nurses are enrolled in the programme for 2024.
