2854 (2025). Hon Dr Megan Woods to the Minister of Climate Change: How has the Government, if at all, aligned and coordinated institutional and regulatory outcomes within and between levels of government and across all sectors of the economy to support coherent implementation in the second emissions reduction plan, as recommended by the Climate Change Commission in their 2023 report "Advice on the direction of policy for the Government's second emissions reduction plan"?

Hon Simon Watts: I am advised that the Member is referring to advice from the Climate Change Commission on the policy direction for the second emissions reduction plan. As the Minister of Climate Change, I had a duty to consider that advice, which I did. In December 2024, I published the second emissions reduction plan, which is the Government's plan to remain within the second emissions budget.
