Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to work with clinical leaders to ensure our leadership academy grows a diverse cohort of clinical leaders, including for professionals who have traditionally had fewer clinical leadership pathways, as part of Te Whatu Ora's health workforce plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the October - December 2023 quarter, the panel reviewed Request For Proposals for the Leadership Institute. I am further advised that the panel is made up of various professions, including clinical leaders, and Health New Zealand believes it has the necessary experience and skills to ensure the Institute develops a diverse cohort of leaders.
