Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What actions, if any, have been taken in the last quarter to Work with unions to grow leaders that engage and support participation of workers in how their work is designed and can be improved, as outlined in Te Whatu Ora's health workforce plan?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that during the October - December 2023 quarter, Health New Zealand sought feedback from union partners regarding development of the Leadership Institute. Health New Zealand also included union representatives on the panel reviewing Request for Proposal responses. Any proposals that involved workforce changes included engagement with union partners.
