2849 (2025). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Climate Change: How did the Ministry for the Environment undertake the analysis of a 'range of indicators' to assess the alignment of our Nationally Determined Contribution with limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees?

Hon Simon Watts: I am advised the Ministry for the Environment quantitatively and qualitatively analysed a range of indicators to provide advice on New Zealand's Nationally Determined Contribution alignment with 1.5 degrees, including looking at the global average rate of emissions reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees and what New Zealand's fair share might look like under a range of equitable burden sharing approaches.
