2847 (2024). Kahurangi Carter to the Minister for Disability Issues: Can the Minister guarantee that the support of the disabled community will not be impacted by the budgetary constraints induced reduction of services from Whaikaha?

Hon Penny Simmonds: I am advised that Whaikaha is working with providers to manage a forecast overspend in the current financial year. This work is not a response to the need to find savings for 2024/25. Whaikaha is making changes and working with providers to ensure that support can be prioritised to those with the greatest need.
