2770 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: When did the Minister inform Auckland Light Rail Limited of the government's confirmation that it was cancelling the project and by which medium of communication to that effect was this given, by subject and date?

Hon Simeon Brown: On 15 January 2024, Auckland Light Rail Limited’s Board members were given a formal notice that the Company was going to be disestablished and that all work on the project should cease.
