2752 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred in the latest quarter towards the initiative to work with primary care, Hauora Māori, and Pacific providers to deliver targeted health promotion messaging and referrals, as included on page 18 of 'Getting to Smokefree 2025', as at 27 January 2025?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that in October to December 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand focussed on strengthening coordination and taking an integrated approach across the health sector to improve current referral processes and intervention. This work included a project focusing on the use of QR codes to improve access to smokefree support in priority settings of primary care, hospitals and specialist services, maternity services, and local communities.
