2746 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred in the latest quarter towards the initiative to review and update SERPA guidance for new and existing requirements, as included on page 24 of 'Getting to Smokefree 2025', as at 27 January 2025?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that all existing smokefree related guidance has been reviewed. Health NZ and the Ministry of Health continue to work together to update industry and Smokefree Enforcement Officer guidance to ensure a consistent approach to new and existing legislation. In December 2024, guidance relating to changes to the Smokefree Act was updated on the Ministry of Health website and information emailed to relevant stakeholders.
