2745 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has occurred in the latest quarter towards the initiative to implement a more accessible compliance complaint process through a centralised system and QR codes, as included on page 24 of 'Getting to Smokefree 2025', as at 27 January 2025?
Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that in the October to December 2024 quarter, Health New Zealand has created a Tobacco & Vape Complaint Toolkit which allows any member of the public to make a complaint about a tobacco or vape retailer, or to ask a question about the Smokefree law. The toolkit contains resources, including posters, that communities can download. Members of the public can also scan a QR code to make a complaint (info.health.nz/TellUs). The toolkit was released in late 2024 and can be found here: www.smokefree.org.nz/resources/toolkit-make-a-smoking-or-vaping-complaint.
