2669 (2024). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How much, if any, does each of the Minister’s Departments, Ministries, and Agencies plan to spend to achieve a 6.5% reduction in headcount as at 4th March?

Hon Louise Upston: The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) has been directed to make a 6.5% reduction in spending. This does not necessarily mean a 6.5% reduction in headcount. The Ministry is currently undertaking further work regarding these savings and release of information at this time would prejudice Ministerial and/or Cabinet decision making. This is also my response to written parliamentary question 2671 (2024).
