2589 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many new partially accessible homes, if any, have community housing providers delivered in each financial year since 2021/22 and to date in the current year?
Hon Tama Potaka: As Associate Minister of Housing (Social Housing) I am advised that of the 352 new build social housing places approved by Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for funding in financial year 2022-23, 22 were partially accessible and 74 were fully accessible. I am further advised that of the 279 new build social housing places approved for funding in financial year 2023-24 to the end of February, 93 were partially accessible and 77 were fully accessible. I am also advised that HUD does not hold comprehensive data about the numbers of accessible social housing places approved before financial year 2022-23.
