2532 (2024). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Health: What tools and policies, if any, has the Minister considered to improve child immunisation rates?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I have considered a range of tools and policy options relating to child immunisation rates. As part of this work, I recently announced five health targets which will come into effect on 1 July 2024. One of these targets is ‘Improved immunisation for kids - 95% of children to be fully immunised at 24 months of age.’ For this target, Health New Zealand will report progress quarterly, with the first quarterly results covering the July-September 2024 period.
