2505 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: What specific communications, if any, has the Minister had with his colleagues or officials regarding the future of the Waitemata Harbour Connections project, by subject and date?

Hon Simeon Brown: I have regular conversations with my colleagues and officials on a range of different issues. A central record of these conversations is not held. However, I note that my diary is proactively released on the Beehive website should the Member wish to review it. As the Member will be aware, on 21 December 2023 I sent a letter to NZTA that emphasised the importance of pursuing options for an additional Harbour Crossing that enhances the Northern Busway and overall harbour resilience, not the previous government's light rail proposals.
