2488 (2024). Tangi Utikere to the Minister for Oceans and Fisheries: What decisions, alongside the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Conservation, has he made, if any, regarding New Zealand's negotiating positions in international fora which impact fisheries?

Hon Shane Jones: In December, I approved the mandate for New Zealand’s approach to the 12th meeting of the Commission of the South Pacific Regional Fisheries Management Organisation, which was held from the end of January to early February 2024. This mandate was forwarded to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Conservation.
