Camilla Belich to the Minister of Transport: How many cases of workplace bullying were referred to external investigators, mediators, the Employment Relations Authority, or other external bodies in each calendar year since 2015 in relation to any staff, employees, secondees, contractors, or office holders for whom the Minister has responsibility in connection with the portfolio, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: I advised by the Ministry of Transport that no cases of workplace bullying were referred in relation to staff for whom the Minister has responsibility in connection with the portfolio. Please note that the Ministry does not hold records prior to 2019 for staff at tier 3 level and below. I am advised that NZTA does not collate the relevant in the manner requested. To provide the breakdown requested would take substantial effort and collation. In accordance with SR 210/6 I consider that the time, and hence the expense, of answering this question cannot be justified in this case.
