2459 (2024). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How many, if any, applications have been received for the Migrant Exploitation Protection Work Visa, and how long does it take to process 90% of applications?

Hon Erica Stanford: As at 10 March 2024, Immigration New Zealand has received 1,802 Migrant Exploitation Protection Visa applications. Of these, 238 applications were for the second Migrant Exploitation Protection Visa. I am advised that the current processing timeframe to complete 90% of all Migrant Exploitation Protection Visa applications is 42 weekdays. I have requested more information from Immigration New Zealand on this.
