2453 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: Through which appropriation will the Youth Offender Military Academy pilot be funded?

Hon Karen Chhour: The initial design work is being funded within Oranga Tamariki baseline, which is provided for within Vote Oranga Tamariki as part of the Social Services and Community Sector appropriation. Oranga Tamariki, alongside other government agencies, are continuing to prepare advice on the establishment and implementation of Military-style academies and other Government commitments relating to young serious offenders.
