2430 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What percentage of schools, if any, have implemented the cellphone ban?

Hon Erica Stanford: The duty to prohibit the use or access of mobile phones in schools is a regulation, which took affect 29 April 2024. As such, it is a requirement for all schools to have implemented it. The Education Review Office is responsible for reporting on the compliance with this regulation and I am advised that, of the schools that ERO has reported on since 29 April 2024, 99.6 percent have been found to be compliant.
