2412 (2024). Rt Hon Chris Hipkins to the Prime Minister: What advice, reports, briefings, aide-memoires, risk-registers, or any other documents, if any, has the Prime Minister or any member of their Office received during the week of 26 February 2024, by title and date?
Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: As Prime Minister, I regularly request and receive advice from officials on a range of matters. In my capacity as the Prime Minister, I received the following documents between 26 February and 1 March 2024 from my officials in the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC): • Meeting with the Governor-General on Wednesday 28 Feb 2024, 26 February 2024 • Appointment of Acting Attorney-General, 27 February 2024 • Allocation of lead Ministerial responsibility for work on the Intelligence and Security Act 2017, 28 February 2024 • Aide Memoire: Christchurch Call, 29 February 2024 • Prime Minister Weekly Brief, 1 March 2024 • Section 65ZD Public Finance Act 1989 – Authorisation of ministerial responsibilities relating to the NZDF and the Ministry of Defence, 1 March 2024 • Draft advice – committee meetings, 1 March 2024 • Ministerial Responsibility for International Education Matters, 1 March 2024 I also received two documents on 27 February and three documents on 1 March 2024. It is not in the public interest to release the titles of these documents. I have received briefings from the Policy Advisory Group, a business unit of DPMC, during the requested timeframe however I am not releasing the titles of these briefings. In addition, staff in my office may informally receive documents including draft documents from my officials in DPMC and from other agencies, and from Ministers’ offices. This information is not held in a format that can be easily extracted within the time frame.
