2399 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How many frontline staff were employed at Oranga Tamariki as of the 1 December 2023, according to the Minister's definitions of frontline and back office staff, by FTE, job title, geographic area of work, and length of tenure?

Hon Karen Chhour: I refer the member to the attached table which details the number of active full-time equivalent permanent and fixed term staff employed as at 30 November 2023, by job code description, region and length of service. I rely on advice from Oranga Tamariki on the most appropriate distinctions for the roles they employ staff in. I am advised that Oranga Tamariki uses the definition of Children’s Worker, as per section 23(1) of the Children’s Act 2014, for reporting on frontline roles.
