2384 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister of Justice: What has been the total dollar increase or decrease for all of the Minister’s relevant Ministries, Agencies and Departments spend on contractors and consultants since 19 November 2023, to the week of 4 March 2024?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that contractors and consultants typically invoice the Ministry of Justice on a monthly basis, e.g. invoices for work completed in March will be sent to the Ministry in April. Therefore, expenditure reporting for a specific week or day will not accurately reflect actual expenditure. I invite the Member to resubmit the question requesting comparison of a full month rather than a week or day, to enable accurate comparison. Please note, the Ministry’s contractor and consultant spend is reported to the Public Service Commission (PSC) on a quarterly basis, and is publicly available on the PSC website. The Ministry’s previous annual contractor and consultant expenditure is available in its annual review.
