2309 (2025). Arena Williams to the Minister for Rail: Has the Minister asked KiwiRail why the Kaitaki was allowed to sail on 27 December 2024, and if not, why not?

Rt Hon Winston Peters: No, this is an operational matter for KiwiRail. KiwiRail has, however, advised that it has weather related sailing criteria which are strictly complied with when planning and executing sailings.
