2288 (2024). Hon Carmel Sepuloni to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many people requested benefit advances during the week of 6 March 2024, broken down by ethnicity, age and gender, reason for needing an advance?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) that the standard reporting period is month end and quarter end. Regular reporting on benefit advances, hardship assistance, disability allowance and accommodation supplement is provided in the Ministry’s quarterly Benefit Fact sheets which are available on the Ministry’s website: www.msd.govt.nz/about-msd-and-our-work/publications-resources/statistics/benefit/index.html. This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 2286 (2024), 2289 (2024), 2290 (2024), 2291 (2024), 2294 (2024) and 2297 (2024).
