2253 (2024). Dr Tracey McLellan to the Minister of Corrections: How much did the Minister’s relevant Ministries, Agencies and Departments spend on contractors and consultants since 5 December 2023 to the week of 19 February 2024, if any, by organisation?

Hon Mark Mitchell: Corrections is a large agency that has many operational and supporting groups, employing almost 10,000 staff working from around 100 locations. I am advised that as the timeframe specified in the member’s question is too recent, it is not currently possible to provide an accurate figure for Corrections’ expenditure on contractors and consultants from 5 December 2023 to the week of 19 February 2024. I am further advised, however, that Corrections reviews and reports this information in a consistent format twice each financial year, as part of the Select Committee Estimates Examination and Annual Review.
