Camilla Belich to the Minister of Education: What employment or engagement outcomes resulted from recorded incidences of workplace bullying in each calendar year since 2015 in relation to any staff, employees, secondees, contractors, or office holders for whom the Minister has responsibility in connection with the portfolio, broken down by outcome category, if any?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that the Ministry of Education and the Education Review Office do not collate this information in a way that is readily reportable in the timeframe available to respond to written parliamentary questions. It would not be in the public interest to divert staff from their cores roles to undertake the research and collation required. The New Zealand Qualifications Authority has had three cases of alleged workplace bullying but no confirmed cases, and there were no employment or engagement outcomes following the allegations. Education New Zealand has not had any recorded instances of workplace bullying from 2015 to 2025.
