2200 (2026). Camilla Belich to the Minister of Defence: What employment or engagement outcomes resulted from recorded incidences of workplace bullying in each calendar year since 2015 in relation to any staff, employees, secondees, contractors, or office holders for whom the Minister has responsibility in connection with the portfolio, broken down by outcome category, if any?

Hon Judith Collins: The Ministry of Defence had none. Since 2018, the New Zealand Defence Force had the following engagement outcomes for upheld bullying complaints: two letters of expectation (one in 2022 and one in 2023), one warning (2019), two final warnings (one in 2021 and one in 2023), and two dismissals (one in 2020 and one in 2023). Some employees resigned from the New Zealand Defence Force before formal disciplinary outcomes could be completed. The New Zealand Defence Force does not hold centrally recorded data for the years prior to 2018.
