Camilla Belich to the Minister of Customs: How many individuals received formal disciplinary sanctions short of dismissal or termination following findings of workplace bullying in each calendar year since 2015 in relation to any staff, employees, secondees, contractors, or office holders for whom the Minister has responsibility in connection with the portfolio, if any?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) has had 17 staff who have been issued with formal disciplinary sanctions, up to and including a final written warning following findings of bullying or harassment during the period 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2025. I refer the Member to the attached appendix which identifies when these 17 formal disciplinary sanctions occurred, broken down by calendar year.
