2121 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many placements for nursing students are available in 2024, and were available in 2023?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that while Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora receives student intake details from the Ministry of Education, it does not have a consolidated national register of all nursing student placements, nor does it hold this information in aggregate, because Tertiary Education Organisations train nursing students for placements with a wide variety of health providers.
