2119 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Associate Minister of Health: How many Regulatory Impact Analysis exemptions, if any, has the Minister received when bringing cabinet papers to Cabinet, since 27 November 2023?

Hon Casey Costello: As the Member will be aware, CO (24)7 section 30 outlines instances in which a Regulatory Impact Statement (RIS) is not required. The Member will also be aware that Cabinet agreed to a temporary streamlined RIS process for 100-Day Plan initiatives in November 2023, including by exempting them from the normal QA process, and not requiring RISs when repealing legislation.
